Generally speaking, the concept of “uncomfortable” is very vague. You should first ask what is uncomfortable. Some patients have reported that they feel headache, stomachache or toothache after wearing it. Here I can simply judge that these “uncomfortable” are not related to wearing hearing aids. The reason for “uncomfortable” wearing hearing aids is usually not only related to sound and sense of wearing . The following Jinghao hearing aids are explained separately:

1. Sound

1) the voice is too noisy to hear clearly: it is usually reflected in the excessive high-frequency or low-frequency noise, which hides the voice in the speech frequency area, so that the patient cannot hear others clearly; another possibility is that the high-frequency compensation is not enough, which also leads to the poor speech resolution of the patient.

Solution: according to the patients’ hearing loss and the frequency characteristics of the hearing aid, and referring to the subjective response of the patients to the sound, adjust the frequency response of the hearing aid properly to meet the needs of the patients.

2) the voice is too harsh to bear: usually it is not to reflect that the volume is too loud, but the maximum output of the hearing aid exceeds the uncomfortable threshold of the patient, so when listening to the loud, the patient feels too harsh, and when the volume is turned down, the patient cannot hear. If it is a hearing aid with output regulation function, the maximum output of the hearing aid can be reduced; if it is a low-end linear hearing aid, and there is no peak clipping limit, only one ossda hearing aid with compression function can be replaced.

3) Scream: hearing aid users often complain that “scream” sometimes occurs during the wearing process of hearing aid, which is acoustic feedback. This is because the amplified sound is transmitted into the ear, and then it is reflected by the eardrum or ear canal again to leak out of the ear canal and return to the microphone of hearing aid. See the above for handling methods.

4) echo when speaking: it is basically caused by excessive low-frequency gain of hearing aids. If the low-frequency or total volume is properly reduced, satisfactory results can be obtained. Another possibility is that the inflection point of the hearing aids is too low and the compression is too large, and the compression characteristics can be improved obviously by adjusting the compression characteristics properly.

2. Wearing

1) the ears are hard to block and feel stuffy: if the patient’s hearing loss is not very serious (for example, no more than 70 decibels), the satisfactory effect can be obtained after the air hole is opened on the ossida hearing aid.

2) tingling of ear canal: carefully observe the ear canal with an otoscope to see if there are local red spots inside the ear canal. It may be that the acoustic tube of the hearing aid is too long and touches the wall of the ear canal, or the head of the hearing aid is slightly large. Cut off the acoustic tube. Whether the problem is solved. If not, it may have to be polished with tools.

3) red swelling and pain in the ear canal: if it’s not particularly painful, the scope of red swelling observed by otoscope is large, it’s likely that the patient’s ear canal is allergic, which is rare, but there’s no particularly effective way. Replacing the anti allergy shell is an attempt.
